I studied Optometry at Bradford University from 2017-2020, following in my Father’s footsteps. I then qualified as an Optometrist in 2022, and went on to work at Optica Eye Clinic, to carry on my father’s legacy in providing quality eye care to those who need it. My interest in optics stemmed from fond childhood memories of visiting my dad at work on the weekend, and was later amplified in my recent years of travel to London and Italy, seeing beautiful styles of frames and a broad range of optical lenses that I could see ourselves supplying at Optica.
High street & luxury fashion is something I am passionate about and I try my best to implement this day to day at work, with the frames we stock alongside the recommendations I give to our customers and patients. I cannot wait to excel in my profession and continue to bring joy to the people in the North East with my level of empathetic care, and extensive clinical skillset, both inside and out of the testing room.

I studied Optometry at Anglia Ruskin University from 2019-2022. I qualified as an Optometrist in 2024 and have decided to join Optica eye clinic, founded by my father. I’m privileged to be part of a family business where we all share the same goals, prioritising patient satisfaction and providing the best eye care for all public members. I’ve always envisioned myself working in the public health sector, aspiring to implement a positive change in the world. I knew I could achieve this through Optics, as my father had done for me.
He was the first person to treat me from the age of 4, I’m highly short sighted. Throughout my long history of work experience at Optica, I have seen him, and others, make a big difference for so many people. I observed how limitations in vision can have a detrimental impact on our lives- and hoped after my years of study, I’d have better knowledge and understanding of how to help and manage people as best as I can. Honesty, compassion and integrity are what I value most, I hope to embody this as a healthcare professional throughout what I hope to be a successful career where I can continue to learn and grow.

I'm Eugenie I graduated Cardiff University in 1994 . I have worked as an optician ever since . I prefer working smaller independent practices where you can really get to know your patients . Eye examinations are always evolving with new technology and a better understanding of the eye itself . Optometery is always interesting keeping up with how things change and develop. Away from work I love to cook and read .

Hello,
My name is Sue, I am a dispensing optician and have been working in optics since 2007. I have worked in both independent and multiple practices. Both have given me different experiences and have helped me to provide professional advice regarding eye care. I am always happy to help and look forward to seeing you in our practices.
